What is assisted home care?
Assisted Living care homes support those who need assistance with activities of daily living while allowing residents to live as independently as possible.
RS Quality Care Homes enable our seniors to maintain their quality of life; the personal attention they receive vastly enhances their safety, health, and overall happiness by way of high-quality care and companionship.
How do I know if I am ready for assisted care?
If you or your loved one find that friends are seen less often, home maintenance tasks and chores are receiving less attention, and/or there’s a growing dependance on assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, or transportation, it’s probably time to consider the options of an assisted care home. RS Quality Care Homes is here to support you and/or your loved ones to continue the highest possible quality of living.
Can I continue to control my own finances?
Absolutely!!! You and your family are in control at all times!
Loved ones are reluctant, now what?
Convincing our seniors they need help can be challenging and even overwhelming. While they are not welcoming to the idea of losing independence, the opposite is actually true. By having a little help, they’re more likely to retain their independence as they retain some control of the decisions affecting their lifestyle.
Once a crisis (such as a fall, memory loss episode, or medical emergency, etc.) occurs, decisions about their care generally fall into the hands of others. In either case, RS Quality Care professionals care and are here to provide families peace of mind knowing their loved ones are in safe and caring hands.
Why choose RS Quality Care? What make us unique?
The most significant feature is, indeed, our approach to care and quality home living. Why shouldn’t our seniors be able to maintain a certain quality of life or have certain preferences or wishes met? We are not interested in being a glorified “adult daycare,” instead, we want to foster an environment that continues to strive for a life with purpose, agility, laughter, and the desired level of comfort and elegance that is not an exception, but our NORM!
Another element we take very seriously is the safety of our residents as we have for over 30 years with the care of our foster children who are placed in our care daily and just as children are deserving of care and special attention, our seniors rightfully deserve, we pride ourselves on a rigorous system for screening and background of our caregivers, coupled with a thorough training program, to include certifications ranging from CPR to Dietary Do’s and Don’ts.
Do I have to sign a contract?
Not at all; your family and our team will sign a simple agreement that spells out the responsibilities and expectations of our agency and the client/family. We do not require a long-term commitment to our services. We want our clients to reside here by choice of their own desire! If you are not 100% satisfied we want to understand the ”WHY” and if the oversight is ours, our goal is to quickly course correct as we aim to keep our clients happy!
We are confident in the quality of care we provide to each and every resident and we encourage anyone who is undecided about the value of our home and the quality of care we provide, to simply give us a try; you will feel the difference!
How do I prepare for my move?
We are more than happy to help! Our staff can assist you by providing phone numbers for utility changes, post office change of address arrangements, etc. As new residents, we will provide information regarding local neighborhood stores, restaurants, businesses, and other neighborhood venues with which new residents and families may want to become familiar.
Some families may find it less stressful to simply hire a company that specializes in moving seniors; if needed we are ready to assist by making recommendations of highly reviewed local companies; our goal is to unburden you!
Will RSQC Staff and Caregivers live in the home?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!! THIS IS YOUR HOME. Caregivers are present and work set shift hours. Hour caregivers are present in the home and ready to assist 24 hours a day!
Our Caregivers will not reside at RSQC and are not allowed to use the personal property of our residents or to accept personal gifts from residents without explicit permission or prior arrangements from our management team.
Our staff members may NOT have personal visitors to RSQC homes while they’re working. This is your new home and we will respect it as such! Welcome!
Am I able to decorate my own room and bring my favorite treasures?
Indeed! We welcome your most prized possessions and personal treasures.
Can I visit with my friends and family in a separate private area?
Yes, upon specific request your new home does provide for a private area for family and friends to visit.
Do you accommodate disabilities?
Yes, your home is a licensed Type A home and ADA compliant with accessible entries, bathrooms, doorways, chairlift, and elevator lift.
What happens if I need medical attention after hours?
We provide AWAKE overnight staff, and should a medical need arise our staff is available to assist where needed. Our staff will contact 911 immediately.
Will the home have specific activity hours?
Yes, there are specific hours for activities within the common areas. While we are not in the business of telling you when an activity should begin or end, we want to maintain an orderly home respectful of all residents. We ask that activities in the main living area as well the activity room close nightly at 10:00pm. Your bedroom however is your private space, and we would simply ask that each person within the home respect rules and one another.
